To mark Williams’ 800th Grand Prix, Alex Albon will wear a special helmet for the occasion at the Silverstone race this weekend. Originally planned for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, the milestone had to be moved to Hungary due to the race’s cancellation. Nevertheless, Williams decided to celebrate this achievement at their home race in Silverstone.
To commemorate this milestone, Albon will don the helmet throughout the British GP. The helmet design was inspired by the Williams Racing Alex Albon Driver Collection, created specifically for this weekend’s race. The helmet features a unique split design, with one side in black and the other in grey. The details, including Albon’s name and his number 23, have a nostalgic vintage feel to them.
However, this was not the only special design by Williams this weekend. The FW45 car driven by Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant showcases a special design. The engine cover proudly displays the Union Jack, representing their British heritage. Furthermore, the side pods of the car acknowledge the team’s 800-race landmark, serving as a tribute to their remarkable history.
