As per the forecasts, a “Red Weather” warning has been issued in the area because there are chances of torrential rainfall, flooding, etc. Till now, there has been no official intimation regarding whether the race would be suspended in the middle of such weather.

The weather conditions in Imola have become quite serious ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, and there is a high chance that the race might be cancelled. Some weather reports have suggested there is an 88% chance of rainfall in Imola during this Saturday and Sunday. But the Grand Prix still has a green light from the F1 authorities as of yet. On Thursday, a meeting will be reportedly held and further decisions regarding the future of this weekend will be made.

Meanwhile, Ferrari have decided to delay their plan to add some upgrades to their car ahead of their home Grand Prix. This is because their Team Principal Frederic Vasseur, along with the other executives, have decided it would not be sustainable to debut their new fittings during the variable weather conditions. This has dimmed the hopes of Tifosis who expected the new upgrades to boost their team’s performance in Imola. Now, it remains to be seen whether Ferrari manages to impress even without the upgrades at their home race.
