The Alpine F1 team has become the talk of the town since revealing its 2024 livery. The outfit has gone for a very light paint scheme on its car with a decent chunk of exposed carbon fiber, and for this, they have come under immense criticism from the fans.

However, Alpine has tried its best to make something out of the negative publicity. In a recent video posted by the team, they mocked themselves by showing the carbon fiber parts on the 2024 car, they even added a hilarious carbon fiberish sound to it.

While a lot has been said about the exposed carbon fiber on the A524, there is a general belief among the fans and the pundits that Alpine has done it, in order to save some extra weight that would help them in going faster.

But, the slight weight reduction on the two A524s is not going to give the Enstone-based team a mega advantage in comparison to the other teams. Most of the speed that an F1 car generates comes from its engine and aerodynamics.

Most teams have left some carbon fiber exposed on their 2024 liveries

While Alpine has been pretty much bashed for presenting an exposed carbon fiber-dominated 2024 car, they are not the only ones to have produced such a piece of machinery for this year. The F1 teams who have so far launched their respective car, have left some carbon fiber explosed.

The lights of the Stake F1 team, Haas, McLaren, and to some extent the Grove-based Williams, have all left some carbon fiber exposed on their cars. Their intention behind it has also been the same as that of the Bruno Famin-led Alpine F1 team.

The 2024 F1 grid is extremely tight and as per what some of the teams have come out with so far, it seems the outfits have pin-pointed weight reduction as the way to move upward on the grid. Heavy hitters like, Mercedes, Ferrari, and the Milton-Keynes-based Red Bull are still to showcase their 2024 machinery.
