Former Formula 1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone is known for his blunt remarks. Recently, he offered a piece of advice to Mick Schumacher. Ecclestone wants the former Haas driver to forget his Formula 1 career. The 24-year-old started his racing journey backed by Ferrari. He was a junior driver for the team. Schumacher then entered Formula 1 in 2021. This came after his success in Formula 2. He won the 2020 Formula 2 championship with Prema Racing.
However, things changed when he got promoted to Formula 1. Schumacher crashed many times in the series. It cost him his seat. Guenther Steiner told the young German last season that the team would not be extending his contract. As a result, he does not have a seat for the 2023 season, but Mercedes signed him as their reserve driver. Hence, he is present in the F1 paddock.
Bernie Ecclestone does not think Mick Schumacher will be back on the Formula 1 grid. The Briton told RTL, “He has to forget this dream because sooner or later we all wake up from a dream. He has to forget that and start thinking about what the alternative is and try to pursue that.” The 92-year-old believes there is no one to help Schumacher. He implied that the racing icon and seven-time world champion Micheal Schumacher is not in a position to guide his son.

Bernie Ecclestone does not think Mick Schumacher has someone to help him out with his F1 career
Ecclestone said, “I think he needs someone who really wants to lead him to success and takes care of him the whole time.”The former F1 chief does not think Schumacher’s mother Corinna nor his manager Sabine Kehm can help him. He added, “They’re not the kind of people who can help him. They help him in many things, but not for a career as a Formula 1 driver.”
Bernie Ecclestone also spoke about the recent fake AI interview of Micheal Schumacher. It first appeared in a German magazine called Die Aktuelle. They published an article with the headline “ Michael Schumacher, The First Interview, World Sensation”. It had a picture of the F1 icon. The publication faced criticism after it spread far and wide. Schumacher’s family wanted to take legal action.
Ecclestone does not think the word “criminal” should be used for the fake AI interview. However, he condemned the act. The 92-year-old believes it is difficult for the family. Meanwhile, Mick Schumacher’s career in F1 is uncertain. The young man needs guidance. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has taken him under his wings. And there is no doubt that this would certainly help Schumacher.
