“Not the same without him,” Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen calls for Daniel Ricciardo’s immediate return to Formula 1
American Football star Josh Allen is hoping for Daniel Ricciardo’s immediate return to racing in Formula 1.
Josh Allen and Daniel Ricciardo
The 2023 Season has been a bit tough for Daniel Ricciardo and his buddy Josh Allen with both facing big challenges ahead of them. When it comes to Ricciardo, his presence on the F1 grid alone has had such a humongous impact on fans and people in the paddock. His playful attitude has cheered up people and has made him the guy to hang out with. Ever since he joined the sport back in 2015, he has been loved by all throughout the paddock.
However, recent events haven’t been all too well for the “Honey Badger” as he takes a year off from racing in F1. The Australian parted ways with McLaren at the end of the 2022 season where he was replaced by Oscar Piastri. Ever since then, Ricciardo came back to Red Bull as their third driver and has been helping with off track events and simulator work. While he doesn’t have a seat in Formula 1, he surely has one guy from the Buffalo Bills having his back.
Daniel Ricciardo and Josh Allen are pretty good friends. The latter had gone on to admit that watching Formula 1 just hasn’t been the same without his buddy. While the Australian has still made a lot of public appearances, it is clear that everyone wants him to get back into a racing seat as soon as possible. With Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez potentially being locked in at Red Bull, the only possible option seems to be AlphaTauri for the “Honey Badger.”
Josh Allen feels F1 isn’t the same without Daniel Ricciardo
While speaking to Kevin Clark in his podcast , here is what Josh Allen said : “It’s just not the same without him. I will say that but I think that there are so so many details that go into the place and I think that it’s kind of, I’d say it’s a microcosm of football where you know, you don’t really win the race on race day you win in the qualifying and in practice, so it’s the preparation that allows you to have that success on game day on race day, whatever you want to call it,” he stated.
While Daniel Ricciardo goes on to try his ways to get back to racing in the pinnacle of motorsport, Josh Allen will be facing his own set of problem. The American will be preparing for what could be a tough season Stefon Diggs openly berating him last season. This being due to their loss on home ground to the Cincinnati Bengals. It is clear that the conflict it yet to be sorted out. It will be interesting to see what happens further on this year with Daniel and Josh.
