Formula 1 is expanding globally, particularly in the United States of America. The sport has acquired millions of new fans in recent years. Consequently, the F1 circus will visit the United States thrice in 2023. The three races will be at Austin, Miami, and of course, the highly anticipated Las Vegas Grand Prix. The paddock is hoping to achieve maximum success from these races commercially.

Thus, it is no surprise that the famous hotels and casinos in Las Vegas looked to capitalize on F1’s mega-return to the city. The Caesar’s Palace, the host of the previous iteration of the race decades ago, is one of them. The Hotel introduced some of the most exuberantly priced rooms for some of the richest attendees. One such room cost over $64000 for two nights! Although, there is a catch.

The ultra-luxurious room will cost a fortune to its guests but will not even provide complimentary breakfast. That is what TopGear recently found out. This extravagant way of attending the Las Vegas GP will require its guests to pay extra for breakfast. A soring miss considering even the most basic hotels provide its guests with such a necessity. However, the uber-rich attendees such as Daniel Ricciardo, who is eager to see F1 in this city, may not pay attention to this.

F1 has spent over $240 Million for the Las Vegas GP

F1 has even raced in the Caesar’s Palace parking lot in the 1980s

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be one like no other. Packed with some of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood in perhaps the most glamorous city in the world. F1 itself has vested interests in the commercial success of the race. F1’s owners, Liberty Media have already spent $240 Million for a permanent pitlane and paddock facility, just east of the iconic Las Vegas strip.

Additionally, Formula 1 will also be taking up the role of promotor for the race. Usually, the sport receives hosting fees from promotors in turn for racing at that venue. This time, however, F1 will be further investing itself in the Las Vegas GP. Certainly, it seems that the sport is confident about the whole race weekend. The entire weekend will also be conducted under a unique timing schedule.

Thus, it seems that the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be a luxurious and expensive event. Of course, F1 has no shortage of rich fans who will spend the desired money without blinking. Although, it does raise concerns regarding the accessibility of the sport to fans lower down the food chain. Hence, F1 must ensure that it keeps its commercial interests in line with providing an actually accessible sport to millions of fans.
