Carlos Sainz reveals his special helmet as he looks to celebrate The Prancing Horse’s homecoming at Monza. The helmet’s design reflects the 70s, a decade much celebrated at Ferrari due to It’s significance it holds for the fabled team on and off the track.
Sainz is currently serving his third year as a Ferrari Driver. He revealed the helmet design through video on X with the caption saying, “Monza, hand in hand with the history and legends of motorsport. Designed helmet for a special occasion inspired in the 70’s.”
Ferrari remain to be the only team to have competed in every single season of Formula 1, forever etching the car company’s history with the dawn of this sport. The Italian legends celebrate their 74th year running in the Championship in 2023 and the design on Sainz’s helmet – the iconic red and yellow over a dominating black layer underneath is a delightful tribute to the Scuderia of the old.
As the majestic outfit from Maranello braces itself for it’s Iconic home Grand Prix, certainly Formula 1’s greatest homecomings, they will look to turn their fates. They stand at fourth in the Constructor’s Championship. Carlos Sainz will be out hunting for this first podium of the year as the lights go out at Monza.

A 21 year old Monegasque, having lost his friend to a freak F2 accident merely a week before, lined up on Pole at Monza with his scarlet monster amidst the waves of ‘tifosi’, a word which is Greek for smoke, and went on to clinch the race win to cement Ferrari’s first triumph on home soil in almost a decade.
Charles Leclerc’s win at Monza is what fables are made of in our sport. The young driver displayed brilliant defensive acumen as he held on to his lead amidst multiple advances from Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas in their Silver Arrows. Mercedes appeared to be the better package in 2019 and the Ferrari fans, longing for hope, clinched their jaws and awaited to see whether the 21 year-old could withstand the pressure.
And withstand he did, claiming his second win in Formula 1 and writing a story for ages to come.
