The whole globe was stunned to know about the war going on between Israel and Palestine, and how thousands of people have been killed and millions of people have been held hostage on both fronts. Former F1 World Champion Damon Hill has made a statement on the issue regarding the atrocities going on in the war-torn nations.
Hill is the 1996 F1 World Champion and his words carry a lot of weight not only in the F1 world but also around the world. He has recently tweeted about how a “catastrophe on a cosmic scale” is commencing just in front of us and is against the alleged “genocide” that is going on between the two nations.
He shared an article stating the condition of how the civilians in the war-torn nations are living and the story about a six-year-old girl, Hind Rajab, from Palestine who was reportedly killed by the Israel ARmy along with his parents. He explained how knowing about this incident was distressing and “haunting” for him; he is using his platform to state the need to end the war and work on maintaining peace.
If you want to have a nice Sunday, I wouldn't read this. We heard this story in the radio last week. Its been haunting me ever since. Words cannot do it justice. All of it is a catastrophe on a cosmic scale #gaza #war #peace #israel https://t.co/n6zxqNetFE

What was Lewis Hamilton’s perspective on the Gaza war?
Lewis Hamilton is arguably the biggest name in the sport and represents F1 in different spheres across the world. The seven-time champion had given his views on the conflict between the two nations last year just after the Abu Dhabi GP.
Hamilton felt helpless about the situation ongoing in Gaza and Israel and decided to use his voice and platform so that the nations around the world could unify and stop the war between the two nations. He had earlier used his platform to fight against racism and supported the Black Lives Matter campaign, and has used his voice whenever he feels humanity is in danger.
I think it’s difficult to wake up each day knowing there are thousands of kids dying and there’s nothing you can do about it and the rest of the world just goes on as it is. It’s massively disappointing.Hamilton said.
The Briton had explained how it was so difficult for him to just go on doing his daily chores and racing despite knowing what was going on just a few kilometers away from where he was. Hamilton is a human rights activist and believes that a ceasefire should be immediately called between the nations and peace should restored to save human lives.
