Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari is improving despite clear gap to Red Bull in Jeddah

While Charles Leclerc has admitted to having a great time at the expense of his die-hard fan, his team did not have the best of outings in Jeddah. Despite his best efforts, he was only able to manage a third-place finish behind the two Red Bulls.

The Milton-Keynes-based team won the Saudi Arabian GP handsomely and has once again come out as the early pacesetters, but amidst this, Ferrari boss, Fred Vasseur has admitted that his team is improving.

It’s never easy to have a clear picture on race performance because you don’t know when the guys are pushing. But if you compare with one year ago that, plus or minus two tenths, we were at 1.1s in Jeddah, today we are four, five, sixth tenths at the gap. Now the performance is coming from everywhere. It’s never that you have one thing that’s five-tenths on the car.
Fred Vasseur said post Saudi Arabian GP, as reported by Planet F1

Ferrari has so far managed two third-place finishes during the 2024 F1 season. Max Verstappen and Co. are looking a bit out of reach of the Italian team at the moment and considering this, it will be fascinating to see how they will approach the upcoming Australian GP weekend.
