The scarlet duo of Leclerc and Sainz is anticipated to be the closest challengers to the mighty Red Bulls. However, despite having the second-fastest car in 2024, the Monegasque finished more than 18 seconds behind the dominant Max Verstappen at the Saudi Arabian GP. However, despite this, Leclerc is filled with optimism and reckons the prancing horses could be on the tails of the bulls pretty soon.
The gap is still quite big, but if we keep working like that, I'm sure it's a matter of time before we put the Red Bull under a bit more pressure.Charles Leclerc said in an interview with Motorsport
The 26-year-old affirmed that the gap between Red Bull and Ferrari is still huge. However, Leclerc is convinced that it is just a matter of time before the Scuderia catches back up to the Austrian giant. Moreover, the engineers in Maranello would be working day and night to close this gap and provide the Ferrari duo with potent machinery to fight the Red Bulls.
Apart from this, the team and Leclerc would be preparing for the race in Melbourne and find a way to challenge for the top spots. Also, fans worldwide would be hoping for the iconic Italian team to return to its former glory. Subsequently, bringing an end to Red Bull’s ongoing dominance.
