Charles Leclerc is one of the most recognizable faces at the pinnacle of motor racing. He has a huge fan following all over the world but he has recently come into the limelight for breaking a promise he once made.

Charles Leclerc is always surrounded by people whenever he makes a public appearance. He was recently spotted inside an Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA and was even seen signing the car.

The Monegasque is used to giving his highly sought-after signature on various kinds of things. However, his signature on the Alfa has raised questions as to what happened to the promise, where he said,

Leclerc, being a driver of the Maranello-based Ferrari F1 team, once admitted that he does not sign cars of brands other than Ferrari. Keeping this in view, it seems he forgot about the promise while signing the Giulia GTA.

Charles Leclerc is Ferrari’s most prized possession

While Leclerc has created a bit of a scene on the web with his recent antics, he is undoubtedly Ferrari’s most valuable asset. Fred Vasseur and Co. see him as the next F1 world champion of the Italian outfit. Carlos Sainz is also on the team, but there is a general belief that the Spaniard is not regarded as highly as Leclerc by Ferrari’s hierarchy.

Moreover, this is one of the reasons why Vasseur wants to get Leclerc’s contract extension out of the way as soon as possible. The latter’s current deal is slated to come to a close at the end of the 2024 season. Last year, he was able to amass a brilliant 206 points in the driver’s championship and was able to end his campaign in a respectable fifth place.

Charles Leclerc is one of the most highly-rated drivers on the modern F1 grid. He has all the skills in his arsenal to become a world champion but to date, has just not had the machinery underneath him to go after the title.
