Oracle Red Bull Racing‘s team principal, Christian Horner spoke of how Max Verstappen’s hunger for greatness drives the team forward. The Dutch driver has been utterly dominant this season, claiming 13 victories in 16 Grands Prix. Now, Verstappen will have a chance to seal his third world title in Qatar.
“He just gets sharper and sharper,” Horner said of the 26-year-old [as reported by speedcafe.com]. The Briton pointed out how Verstappen was never short on Pace, even on day 1. Further, he even talks about how Verstappen has amassed experience in managing the track space and the RB-19. He said, “I mean, the raw speed and ability has been there from day one, and that hunger and passion that he drives with. Now he couples that with experience and the way he reads the race, the way he manages tires, the way he reads the situation. It’s phenomenal.”
Christian Horner greatly values Max Verstappen‘s contributions. Now, he’s even more impressed due to Max’s outstanding performance this season.
Horner stated, “He pushes the team, we push him, and we both go to new levels.” He also praised the entire team’s exceptional performance this year. Red Bull secured their 6th Constructor’s Title at the last Grand Prix in Japan. If Verstappen finishes 6th in the Qatar Sprint, he’ll become World Champion for the third consecutive year.
