The Ferrari Formula 1 team has been participating at the pinnacle of motor racing for many decades. It has a rich history in the sport, and while the team has struggled to win the world championship since 2007, the Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner, has given his verdict on its biggest problem.
The Ferrari outfit has so far managed to win sixteen constructors titles and has also had the good fortune of lifting a brilliant fifteen driver’s world championships. However, since 07, the team has been unable to challenge the lights of Mercedes and Red Bull for the title. They had a potent car in 2022, but many reasons derailed their title push.

The 2023 season has two races remaining, and Ferrari has endured another tough campaign. Christian Horner was recently asked to share his thoughts on Ferrari’s woes, and while talking about it on the Eff Won with DRS podcast, he made it known that, in his opinion, Ferrari’s hierarchy is one of its biggest problems.
I think the biggest problem for Ferrari is that it’s a national team. It needs to get back to being a race team. It’s an Italian institution and there’s probably too many people at the top end. Everybody has an input and has a say. From the outside looking in, one of our strengths is that we move quickly, we make decisions, and we stick to them.Horner said, as reported by GPBlog.
Ferrari’s has two brilliant drivers in its arsenal
While Christian Horner has shared his opinion on what he believes Ferrari’s biggest problem is, the Italian outfit, despite its troubles, has two brilliant drivers in its arsenal. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are one of the most exciting drivers line-ups on the current grid of the pinnacle of motor racing.

The duo has exceptional racing skills and has been pretty much neck and neck since racing together. Moreover, in a 2023 campaign that the Red Bull F1 team has dominated, Carlos Sainz has scored the sole victory that a non-Red Bull driver has secured.

Both the Ferrari drivers are in their prime years, and all they require from Ferrari is to give them a car with which they can seriously go at the coveted world title. If Ferrari can produce a title-worthy car in the upcoming years, then Sainz and Leclerc will be seen fighting at the extreme front end.
