Christian Horner and Toto Wolff have been associated with the pinnacle of motor racing for several years. They have done some wonderful things as the team principals of Red Bull and Mercedes and while the latter is currently struggling, Horner has admitted that he has huge respect for Wolff.

The Red Bull F1 team has been operating in a league of its own since the dawn of the new regulations. Before their ongoing dominance, it was the Toto Wolff-led Mercedes team that was the top dog in the sport.

While Christian Horner and Wolff have had several verbal tussles over the years, the former has the utmost respect for the Austrian. He recently said on the Secrets of Success podcast, as reported by Silverarrows.net:

I have a huge amount of respect for everything that he’s done and achieved, but we’re competitors. I’ve never been a believer that you can be the best mate with your competitor. I think it’s dishonest.

Looking at the reaction of the Brit, it is quite clear that, on one hand, he has applauded Toto Wolff for what he has achieved in F1. Whereas on the other, made it known that being rivals, he can’t be the best mates with him.

Max Verstappen operated at an extremely high level during the 2023 F1 season. Sergio Perez, on his end, faced several issues but was able to hold on to second place in the Drivers Championship giving Red Bull a 1-2 finish.

Christian Horner is one of the main pillars around whom the Red Bull F1 team operates and considering this, he will have already made quite a few plans for the upcoming campaign. The Austrian outfit will go into the 2024 F1 season as the out-and-out favorites.
