Amidst Oracle Red Bull Racing’s ever-growing stature at the pinnacle of motor racing, Christian Horner has claimed that their rivals have also played a role in the Austrian team’s 2023 dominance. The Red Bull Racing F1 Team has left its rivals in the dust. One race after another, none of the machinery could match the RB-19.
Christian Horner is of the opinion that while Red Bull has been incredibly consistent at the front end of the grid, teams like Ferrari, Mercedes, and, McLaren have been too inconsistent. So, this has helped his team maintain a decent gap to them. The Milton-Keynes-based team secured its sixth Constructors Championship during the Japanese GP weekend.
While shedding light on the same, the Red Bull team principal recently said, “The field has been moving around behind us. One week it’s McLaren, next week it’s Ferrari, the next week it’s Mercedes. We’ve been 90% consistent at the front of the field. And we’ve been fairly limited in the amount of development that we’ve done on the car.”
He further added, “The regulations are stable, so we have the same gearbox on the car. We have the same chassis largely as last year so an awful lot of is carried over. The team has done a great job in efficiently developing the car reducing the weight, and maintaining this kind of performance across the variance of circuits that we’ve had.”

Christian Horner and Co. have a chance of securing the 2023 driver’s title in Qatar
Christian Horner’s team has already secured the 2023 Constructors title during last week’s Japanese GP. Now, they will once again be in the limelight with Max Verstappen during next month’s Qatar GP weekend. Because of how the race in Suzuka panned out for Sergio Perez, Verstappen has every chance of wrapping up the driver’s title at the Lusail International Circuit.
With Verstappen’s upcoming 2023 triumph, he would win his third consecutive Drivers World Championship. Since last year, the Dutchman has performed in a league of his own. He is also been tipped by several pundits to keep his dominant run going at least until 2026. Moreover, such has been his level of dominance that several people in the F1 paddock believe that he is the man to break Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton‘s F1 titles record.
Red Bull has been the top dog under the new regulations. Plus the way things have been panning out for them since 2022, the future looks immensely bright for them. Considering everything that has been discussed above, next week’s event is going to be all about Max Verstappen and the Milton-Keynes-based Red Bull Formula 1 team.
