The Red Bull Formula 1 team has been on a warpath during the ongoing 2023 F1 season, where none of the other teams have been able to pose a stiff challenge. Max Verstappen is comfortably cruising at the front end, and amidst Red Bull’s ever-solidifying grip cover the sport, Christian Horner had claimed that his team’s dominance is bound to end at some point.
Christian Horner has been with the Red Bull Formula 1 team for a long time and has pretty much gone through all the highs and lows that the sport has got to offer. Keeping his experience in perspective, he ardently believes that Red Bull’s dominance will eventually come to an abrupt halt.
While talking about the same recently, he said, as reported by Speedcafe, “One day we’re going to get beaten. That’s inevitable and guaranteed. It’s just a question of when. Obviously, we want to make the ‘when’ as far away as we can. To think we’ve won all 14 grands prix [this year], 24 of the last 25, and we’ve managed to win as a team. It’s quite incredible that we’ve managed to keep this momentum going.”
The 49-year-old has grudgingly clarified that the Milton-Keynes-based team will not be the top dog at the pinnacle of motor racing forever. At some point, one of the other nine teams would out-develop them and take away the throne on which they proudly sit.
Christian Horner’s Red Bull is on course to secure the 2023 F1 title
Since the dawn of the new regulations last year, the Red Bull F1 team has been the team to beat in F1. They quite comfortably secured both the World Championships last year, and the way the ongoing campaign has panned out so far, the Austrian team is again on course to ensure the coveted titles.
As things stand, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez are 1-2 position in the 2023 Drivers standings and have a huge buffer over their competitors. Moreover, the same is true when it comes to the Constructors World Championship, Red Bull is leading Mercedes by a margin of over 310 points.
Christian Horner and Co. have pretty much wrapped both the World Championships, but despite this fact, they want to continue their incredible winning run and try and win all the races this year. Red Bull has everything in its arsenal to do it, and considering this, the remaining eight races will be a fascinating watch.
