Max Verstappen is arguably the best driver on the Formula 1 grid right now. The Dutch racing driver started his F1 career as the prodigal youngest driver ever to compete in F1, proceeding also to claim the record for youngest race winner in the sport.

Christian Horner claims that Verstappen’s ability to perform under pressure is unmatched by any driver. Horner said that the 26-year-old’s mental toughness is something to admire, commending Verstappen’s mental consistency.

He came to F1 at a very early age, without any training in the junior classes. He followed that training in public in the Formula 1 arena, where everything you do is studied in detail by everyone. His mental toughness, that mental strength in the important moments, whether it is a qualifying, overtaking or an out-lap, is where he shines. I have not yet seen a driver who can handle the pressure as much as Verstappen.
Christian Horner said, as reported by RacingNews365

Verstappen has performed in high-pressure situations on many occasions, bringing results to the team. Most significantly, the Red Bull driver managed to hold on and win the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in a controversial conclusion to take home the championship.

Verstappen has always been brutally honest with the press and media, not caring for backlash for his statements. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner claims that Verstappen is just extremely passionate about racing and uncomfortable with his extremely high level of fame.

Max, as a person, is just a really nice 26-year-old young man who is passionate about his racing, and uncomfortable with the level of fame or notoriety that he has now.
Christian Horner said, as reported by PlanetF1

Verstappen is defending his championship title in 2024 in a season where the field is expected to converge. If the Dutchman is successful in his defence, he will be the second Red Bull driver to win four championships in a row after Sebastian Vettel achieved the feat in 2013.
