Christian Horner has been the talk of the town for the past weeks. The Red Bull supremo was accused of behaving inappropriately with a colleague, and an investigation is underway for the same. Following this, speculations of a rife between Max Verstappen and Horner were spreading throughout the paddock. Now, the Briton has rejected any claims of such conflict between him and the Dutchman.
A complaint was registered against the F1 team chief for behaving inappropriately with a member, and now an external lawyer has been hired by Red Bull Austria to investigate. The Englishman is under scrutiny currently and risks losing his post as the Team Principal. It was rumoured that his connections had been severed with Verstappen and his family, but he has tossed out such claims.
No not at all. I was with Jos (Verstappen) and Max at Silverstone a couple of days ago. Max is very focused on his job. He's been very supportive and I'm looking forward to the season ahead with him.Christian Horner said as reported by Express.co.uk.
The Englishman has been at the forefront of the team since its inception, and such claims have severed his reputation. However, the Englishman is convinced that he would come out as innocent and will not be distracted by such allegations. Therefore, the three-time champion and his relations are perfect as claimed by the F1 team chief and they would be focusing ahead for the upcoming season. The Briton confirmed amidst the rumours he would be present at the pre-season testing in Bahrain and further races.
What are Max Verstappen’s goals for the 2024 season?
Verstappen is currently the driver to beat on the F1 grid. The Dutchman has been driving flawlessly for the past few seasons and won his third title last season. Following his trend of domination, the 26-year-old has now set his sights even higher.
The Dutchman is on a roll currently and won 19 out of the 22 Grand Prix last year, an astonishing record that is almost impossible for anyone to break. Verstappen’s last year was studded with him breaking generation-old records at every race.
However, the Dutchman wants to do one better this time and claim a fourth star on his helmet equalling him with Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost. The hunt for a ‘perfect season’ is on for the reigning champion but would be weary of his rivals who have developed around the winter break.
