The Red Bull RB19 was undoubtedly the most dominant car in recent years, and arguably in F1 history. The championship-winning car was designed by F1 legend Adrian Newey, and piloted by Max Verstappen to a third consecutive World Title. The RB19 won 21 of the 22 races held in the 2023 season, setting the record for the highest win percentage in a season.
In an interview with Sky Sports F1, Christian Horner was asked about the record-breaking RB19. Moreover, the Red Bull team boss revealed that the car borrowed multiple components from the 2022 season. Horner claimed that 60% of the RB19 raced in 2022, decreasing the requirement for revamping the concept.
Probably 60% of the car actually raced last year as well. The amount of races some of these components have won is more than 30…Christian Horner told Sky Sports F1
…While the RB19 ticked a lot of boxes, there are still areas where we can improve that we’ll be looking to carry on into RB20.

The Red Bull RB20 could be an extremely major disruption and potentially increase the gap to the rest more. After starting development on their car early on in the season, Red Bull has a huge advantage over the rest of the grid. The Austrian team have a solid car concept to work on, winning the Constructors’ Championship twice in a row.
Christian Horner claims RB20 could be “even stronger” than record-breaking RB19
Red Bull had possibly the most dominant Formula One vehicle ever made, surpassing the records made by even McLaren’s 1988 MP4/4. Red Bull used the RB19 to achieve this success, winning 21 races and winning both championships by a tremendous margin.

The Milton Keyes-based team could have an even larger advantage over their rivals in 2024. Red Bull started development on the 2024 RB20 earlier than any other team on the grid. Now Christian Horner has said the developments on the 2024 challenger could make it even stronger than the 2023 vehicle, suggesting another Red Bull-dominated season.
I think all aspects of RB19 are being looked at to evolve into RB20, and hopefully make it even stronger because I’m sure that’s what our competitors will be looking to do.Christian Horner said, as reported by planetf1
Red Bull failed to achieve one feat in 2023 that they will attempt in 2023 with the RB20. The clean-sweep, winning every race in a year, has never been achieved in F1 history. McLaren missed out by losing one in 1988, and Red Bull slipped up too in Singapore 2023. With a promising car being developed, the champion team will be attempting to make history with a clean sweep.
