Christian Horner has a wealth of experience when it comes to F1 and thus is not willing to take the challenge of the Ferrari and Mercedes lightly. Moreover, while dwelling over Verstappen’s lead in the Championship said, “It’s [a] very healthy lead, but it’s an awful lot of racing to go.”

Things can go wrong. We had some reliability issues [in Hungary] with the clutch – that could quite easily have been a DNF, but thankfully it wasn’t.”

We were 12 kilometers away [from a failure with Verstappen’s power unit in qualifying]. 12 kilometers later, it would have been on the way to the grid.

So there’s some areas that we can still improve on.”

Horner has urged the Red Bull outfit to keep improving during the remaining nine races of the season and has admitted that Ferrari and Mercedes can become a big nuisance for them.

Horner while talking about their threat said, “Ferrari have got a very quick car, and Mercedes… you can see coming back at us, so maybe we don’t need the TD in Spa after all!

Christian Horner sees the two wounded teams coming after Red Bull and considering that there are only nine races left in the season, fireworks are going to go off between the top three teams and it will be fascinating to see how the energy drink team will fend off their challenge.
