Christian Horner urges F1 to look at ‘what do the fans want’ during Sprint race weekends
The Sprint format has so far received mixed reactions from the fans as well as some people in the F1 paddock.

Sprint races have always been a hot topic of discussion at the pinnacle of motor racing. The reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, has never been a fan of it and has several times spoken against it. While the Sprint format has divided opinions, Christian Horner feels one needs to look at what the fans want.
Christian Horner ardently feels that the fans should be at the center of decisions that are taken around the Sprint format. He believes that the sport has to find a way in which the involvement of the fans could be increased around the decisions that are made around the Sprint format.
While talking about the same in detail, as reported by racingnews365, the 50-year-old, it is quite clear to make the Sprint format more attractive in the long run, the hierarchy needs to bring the fans to the table to have an amicable discussion.
I think it's clear that the Sprints need to evolve a bit, in that I can understand the concept and it being action on all three days, which for the promoter and for the fans has an interest but I think the Sprints, in some cases, have been slightly underwhelming. So there are many topics attached to it. But the most important fundamental thing is, what do the fans want.
Christian Horner was a happy man during the 2023 F1 season
While Christian Horner has urged F1 to somehow try to involve fans in decision-making regarding the Sprint format, the 2023 F1 season was a memorable one for him and his Red Bull F1 team. The outfit dominated all its rivals and scored Grand Prix wins for fun during the long campaign.
Red Bull’s shining light was once again Max Verstappen who scored a brilliant nineteen wins in the season whereas Sergio Perez on the other hand, was able to chip in with two race victories. The Milton-Keynes-based team won twenty-one out of the possible twenty-two races this year.

Christian Horner is one of the most recognizable faces in the F1 paddock and holds a lot of influence. Considering this, the sport’s hierarchy should give some thought to what the Brit had recommended via his comments. Horner wants to see a long-term solution for the Sprint format.
