Christian Horner‘s Red Bull F1 team has been on a warpath during the F1 season. The outfit has been tremendously led by the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen, and amidst its ever-growing stature in the sport, Horner has urged his crew to keep doing the great work to make sure Red Bull rides its dominant wave in 2024 as well.
The Milton-Keynes-based team secured the 2023 Constructors Championship during last week’s Japanese Grand Prix. It was their sixth constructor’s triumph, and during the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix weekend, they have a good chance of wrapping up the Driver’s World Championship. Christian Horner is pleased with his team’s exploits under the new regulations and wants them to keep working for as long as possible.
While shedding light on the same in detail, he told Autosport, “I think a repeated season like this is, you know, it’s a golden moment for the team. To do better than we’re doing I think it’s impossible. So, I think we’re riding a wave, and of course, we want to try and ride that wave as long as we can. But Formula 1 is a fast-moving business.”
He added, “You see how quickly teams move up, move down, and Singapore, if nothing else, demonstrates that there can be zero complacency, that we have to keep pushing the boundaries. Last year was a very strong year for us. But to have kept that momentum, rolling with the challenges that we’ve had is testimony to all the members …, that the drivers and particularly Max have been able to make such good use of.“
Christian Horner has an ace up his sleeves in the form of Max Verstappen
While Christian Horner has asked his team to do everything in their power to keep its dominant run going in 2024, he has got an ace in his team in the form of soon-to-be three-time world champion Max Verstappen. The Dutchman has been sensational since 2022 and has bashed his competition left and right for fun at the pinnacle of motor racing.

Moreover, what makes the 25-year-old an almost insurmountable force is the fact that he is honing skills with each passing year, and this is extremely rare in the sport. There have been only a handful of drivers in the history of Formula 1 who have been able to improve their skills continuously without ever seeing a dip in their form.

Christian Horner’s Red Bull is in safe hands until the end of 2028, and till that time, the Austrian outfit should do everything in its power to extract the maximum performance out of Max Verstappen. He is a once-in-a-generation driver, and several pundits of the sport view him as the best to step foot into the exciting world of Formula 1.
In case you missed it:
- Max Verstappen claims he has ‘no emotion’ toward the prospect of securing the 2023 title in Qatar
