Christian Horner’s investigation news was leaked to Dutch Media allegedly due to tension with Max Verstappen’s dad

The allegations against Christian Horner for reported inappropriate behavior with a crew member came to light out of the blue. Immediately after the issue, authorities conducted an independent investigation behind the 50-year-old. However, if these allegations turn out to be true, the Briton could be in serious trouble and potentially harm Red Bull’s image.

Amidst these shocking revelations, Red Bull star Max Verstappen‘s family has decided to stand against Horner in the entire case. Reportedly, Verstappen and his great involvement within the team was the reason behind the leaking of the status quo first in the Netherlands. Jos Verstappen and others found out about the news at first and were extremely agitated by this news.

Hence, the family revealed this secret to Dutch media and further spread the news over the world. This news badly damaged the personal relationship between Horner and Verstappen Sr. Hence, the family also sided against the team principal and is eagerly waiting for the outcome of the independent investigation set up by Milton Keynes.

Apart from this, Verstappen’s loyalty isn’t exclusively towards Christian Horner. The Dutchman would prioritize his father and Helmut Marko above the team principal for his own reasons. Hence, Horner isn’t receiving the most amount of support in this sitch as the body would soon reveal the investigation details.

Red Bull authorities reportedly asked Christian Horner to voluntarily resign

However, as the entire details of the allegations emerged, other major news surrounding the matter surfaced to the public. Amidst these developments, according to the same reports, the team asked Christian Horner to voluntarily resign before any of the allegations and news became public knowledge. However, as depicted from the events, Horner indeed didn’t resign and caused quite the buzz around the paddock.

Horner will be looking to prove himself innocent against these allegations. The entire investigation would carry on considering the 50-year-old as innocent, to not miss out on any crucial details. Apart from this, the Briton had officially declined any such rumors claiming that they were not true, and declined any behavior of sorts mentioned in the allegations.

However, the team needs to promptly carry out the investigation and bring out the results, with the season starting in just under a month. Jonathan Wheatley would reportedly fill Horner’s empty seat for team principal if the latter were to be ousted from the team. Hence, the team eagerly awaits the results before the chassis reveal of Milton Keynes, scheduled on 15th February.
