Confusion ensues as drivers were unaware about their starting positions for the Italian GP

In Formula One, time is what matters the most. Being as precise as possible is one of the reasons that it is termed as the pinnacle of motorsports. After the qualifying round for the Italian Grand Prix ended, F1 has seemed to be in put in a frenzy over the starting grid as multiple drivers will be taking grid penalties.

It has been reported that at least 9 drivers including the likes of Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz will be taking a penalty which will set them back further down the grid. While Max just has a 5 place grid penalty, Lewis and Carlos both will be starting at the back of the grid due to the amount of parts that they have changed for this race.

With almost half the grid taking on penalties, some of the drivers that generally qualify at the bottom will now be bumped up to the top 10. This has given these drivers a golden opportunity to score some massive points for the team on race day.

Fans have also started to notice that the teams have refrained form talking about their actual starting place for tomorrow on the grid in their posts. Even drivers seem unaware as to where they will start with Esteban Ocon joking about it and saying that his main aim is to score points nevertheless in his tweet post qualifying. Although there have been some reports which give us an idea of what the starting grid could be like.

With Charles Leclerc confirmed as the Pole man for tomorrow, George russell will start in second while the McLaren duo will take up the second row of the grid. Verstappen is in the top 8 while his teammate Sergio Perez is in the top 15 with their actual place yet to be confirmed.

On his outing with Williams filling in for Alex Albon who is sick, Nyck De Vries will possibly be in the top ten for tomorrow giving his team a shot at a points finish. Sainz, Hamilton and Tsunoda are confirmed to start from the back of the grid.

F1 normally releases the starting grid documents an hour after the qualifying session is over but they have taken quite some time. Although this hasn’t stopped the masterminds on twitter from figuring it out themselves. Hopefully we will get to know the exact starting spots of the drivers in a jiffy for what will be a very exciting and possibly a very dramatic race tomorrow in the temple of speed. The Tifosi will definitely be praying for a miracle.
