Daniel Ricciardo, the current Red Bull reserve driver, will come with an F1 series of his own pretty soon. Everything is in an ongoing process for the series, and it will be broadcasted on the Hulu platform. It has also come to light that the series will have 30-minute episodes, but nothing else has been revealed about the series yet.
Daniel Ricciardo is without an F1 seat this year after the Woking-based McLaren F1 team decided to cut short the Australian’s contract by one year. Moreover, he also did not get picked for a racing seat by any of the other teams and thus has got time on his hands. Ricciardo has got all the charisma in him to do a successful series, and it seems his fans are going to see a different version of him when his new series drops on Hulu.
ABC Signature, Temple Hill, and, Lionsgate TV are developing the half-hour scripted series. Daniel Ricciardo, while talking about it, recently said, “I’ve really enjoyed having a bit more time for it this year. During the [F1] season … I can’t even necessarily keep up with everything else, so having the chance to prioritize things has been really important for me this year.”
Looking at the comments of the former Grand Prix winner, he sees 2023 as a welcome break from him, where he is plunging into different things as much as possible. One of the main reasons for Ricciardo’s interest in things outside of F1 has stemmed from the time that he has got because, during a full-fledged F1 season, the racing drivers have their plates full almost all the time with one thing or the other. He is in a reserve driver role at Red Bull this year and has the additional time Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez don’t have.
Daniel Ricciardo wants to get back on the F1 grid in 2024
As things stand, Daniel Ricciardo is 33 years old and does not have several years left at the pinnacle of motor racing. He understands this very well and thus indicates that he wants to return to racing as soon as possible. While stressing on the same, he said, “Moving forward — if I do get back on the grid next year — I think I’ll have a clearer idea of how I want to go racing. It’s given me a chance to reshape my structure.”
Daniel Ricciardo has made his intention clear that he wants to be on the F1 grid in 2024. Moreover, has even admitted that his time away from the F1 grid has helped him in getting a clearer picture of what he wants. He believes he now understands how he wants to go about his racing business if he gets an opportunity next year.
Considering everything that has happened in the life of Daniel Ricciardo in the last 2-3 years, it will be fascinating to see how the driver market will develop when the 2024 season of the sport comes knocking on the door. There are a few seats available for next year,
