Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner is currently under investigation over inappropriate behavior accusations. The 50-year-old has continued to fulfill his duties at Milton Keynes while denying all claims. However, Horner’s case has become a major talking point in the F1 paddock. Now, Daniel Ricciardo has finally spoken with his former team boss.

Ricciardo highlighted that the entire paddock was aware of Horner’s investigation. However, the Australian driver claimed that it was not a distraction as there was little information known to the public. Nevertheless, Daniel Ricciardo insisted that he was focused on his campaign with VisaCashAppRB at the Bahrain season opener.

Would I say was it an on-track distraction? No, it wasn’t. Knowing we have so little time as well, it was really 'I need to focus on me, my team, my driving' and trying to start this week as strongly as possible.

The Australian driver has a strong bond with Christian Horner which spans over a decade. Daniel Ricciardo was a part of the Red Bull driver academy before racing for the Austrian team for five seasons. The 34-year-old returned to the family once again last season and now races for Red Bull’s sister team, VCARB.

Daniel Ricciardo sympathized with his former team boss. The 34-year-old mentioned that Christian Horner has always treated him well. However, the Australian driver hoped that the investigation would be a fair and quick process. Ricciardo hoped for the verdict to be released before the start of the Bahrain GP.

Do I feel for him through all of this? Yes, I've known Christian for a long time. He's always been great with me. So I do hope that there is a fair outcome and resolution soon, hopefully before this weekend, so it's not really a distraction for him or obviously anyone in the team.

Christian Horner’s investigation report sent to Red Bull GmbH

Christian Horner has been allegedly accused of sexual transgression by a female Red Bull employee. As per reports, Horner tried to offer $800,000 to the employee as part of a settlement. However, this offer was rejected and the unnamed employee might even take this matter to the English courts soon.

Moreover, the report prepared by the external barrister has been submitted to Red Bull GmbH in Austria. An announcement of the official verdict could be made as early as the Bahrain GP weekend. However, things remain business as usual within the team despite rumors of potential tension between Horner and Max Verstappen’s family.

Certainly, millions of fans are waiting to hear the official decision on Christian Horner’s case. Although, the 50-year-old remains innocent till proven guilty. However, this investigation will have major ramifications on the sport to try and ensure safer working environments for all personnel.
