Daniel Ricciardo, the former eighth-time Grand Prix winner, has a well-known reputation for having a very upbeat personality. He is adored by fans all over the world and while the 2024 F1 season is just around the corner, he has made the headlines for claiming that Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc is the biggest ‘Swifty’ on the current grid.
Taylor Swift has often been linked with F1 in one form or another and recently during an interview, Daniel Ricciardo was asked to name who according to him is the biggest fan of her on the current grid. Ricciardo did not take much time in naming Charles Leclerc.
The hilarious conversation with the interviewer went like this:
Interviewer: Who do you think is the biggest Swifty on the grid?
Ricciardo: Oooh, I don’t know maybe, Leclerc.
Interviewer: Yeah, we were like, it has to be Leclerc.
Ricciardo, Yeah yeah, right, we are on the same page.
Interviewer: He loves like a sad little song, doesn’t he!!

Looking at the hilarious reaction of the two parties, it seems there is no other driver on the current F1 grid who could be as big a Taylor Swift as Charles Leclerc. Moreover, some of the reasoning behind their judgment could be the tragic incidents Leclerc often goes through during a grand prix weekend.
Daniel Ricciardo and Charles Leclerc have a fascinating 2024 ahead of them for varied reasons
While Daniel Ricciardo has had a serious laugh at the expense of Charles Leclerc recently, the two are in for an important 2024 F1 season. The former will go out to showcase that he is deserving of a 2025 Red Bull seat whereas Leclerc would want to show Lewis Hamilton what he would have to deal with at Ferrari from next year onwards.
Ricciardo is already 34 years old and the upcoming season is pretty much do-or-die for him as far as his aspirations of competing at the front end are concerned. On the other hand, Leclerc is still very young(26) and is surely going to have his chance of having a serious crack at the world championship somewhere down the line. The Monegasque has so far in his career, amassed five grand prix wins.
