The major changes in AlphaTauri’s driver lineup were certainly difficult for the crew and especially the race engineer Pierre Hamelin. Now, Daniel Ricciardo applauded the race engineer for his service to the team during such a difficult time.

The Australian acknowledged that Pierre’s assistance should not be underestimated. This comment stemmed from the situation where Hamelin had to adapt to three different drivers on very short notice. Additionally, the engineer had to set up the car for each driver as every individual driver ran a different setup during the race. 

As much as I believe in myself, I can't underestimate my engineer Pierre. He worked with three drivers this year and he's trying to set up the car for each driver, What we like what we don't, it's not easy for him as well.

AlphaTauri has confirmed Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda to race for the following season, the 34-year-old is eagerly anticipating a more complete season. The honey badger claimed that 2024 would be exciting for the Red Bull sister team. Subsequently, the Honey Badger added that he looked forward to the pre-season and off-season.

Daniel Ricciardo highlighted the positives for Alphatauri in 2023

Hence Daniel Ricciardo summarized the year and insisted that he was very happy with the race pace produced by the car on most of the days. The race pace and improvements down the season were very positive according to the 34-year-old.

Ricciardo attributed the positive feeling from the car and race pace to the increasing number of rounds he drove in the car, allowing him to get more comfortable with its feel. Although the Aussie wasn’t part of AlphaTauri at the beginning of the season, he applauded the way the team turned the performance around.

In addition to this, Ricciardo claimed that both the drivers in AlphaTauri pushed each other and complemented well. Hence, the 2024 season will be a spectacle to watch for the Faenza-based team as they have got the first step of the driver lineup correct for the following season.
