The Christian Horner investigation saga has been deepening every passing day. Multiple major news about the ongoing investigation have been surfacing from multiple sources. Hence, it seems as if the case has been weakening against the 50-year-old. Amidst this, The team might look at former Red Bull driver David Coulthard as a potential replacement for Horner.
David Coulthard raced for Red Bull back from 2005-2008. The Briton played a pivotal role in laying down the foundation at Milton Keynes after the acquisition of the Jaguar F1 team. However, according to reports, the 52-year-old is one of the potential candidates for the spot as team principal within the team. Coulthard is also currently the Red Bull brand ambassador, which strengthens his chances of being promoted to the team principal. Recently, Coulthard even drove the Red Bull RB-1 alongside Max Verstappen‘s RB-20 at Silverstone.

However, the 52-year-old isn’t the primary candidate for replacing Christian Horner at Red Bull. The current Team Manager Jonathan Wheatley would be the ideal choice of replacement for the current principal. Regardless, Coulthard’s chances aren’t exactly zero as the team is yet to release the investigation results alongside the replacement for the principal if the allegations were to be true.
Christian Horner to take legal action against Dutch Newspaper for leaking investigation news
The Red Bull crew kept the current developments of the entire case against Christian Horner completely private. The majority of the employees and drivers refused to comment on the status quo until the final result was revealed. However, some sources leaked crucial developments about the case to the general public and this agitated the currently under-trial team principal.

Hence, amidst this, Horner is looking ahead at taking legal action against the Dutch Newspaper that leaked the information. Expectedly, the boss isn’t happy with such information being leaked to the public without him having control over the way the messages are revealed. As a result, the boss has reportedly decided to take legal action against the specific newspaper entity, De Telegraaf.
The team has finally unveiled their 2024 challenger alongside the racing suits. The team is working on the testing session in Bahrain tomorrow and will likely see the absence of the team principal in his ongoing investigation. Red Bull hopes to conclude the entire investigation by next week to ensure a smooth sailing season.
