The Red Bull F1 team has a rich history at the pinnacle of motor racing. The outfit has been competing regularly for decades and has amassed substantial success since. While the team has once again got back to winning ways under the new set of F1 regulations, its former driver, David Coulthard, has claimed that Christian Horner has been the key figure behind Red Bull’s success.
Christian Horner has led the team from the front since the start of Red Bull’s F1 journey and has overseen all the 107 Grand Prix wins that the team has amassed so far. From Sebastian Vettel’s four-year reign to Max Verstappen‘s current dominance over the sport, all have come to fruition under the leadership of the 49-year-old.
Red Bull secured its sixth Constructors title during the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, and ahead of this week’s race, David Coulthard has taken the opportunity to applaud Christian Horner. While talking about the same, he told racingnews365, “Christian’s been key. Designers, engineers, mechanics, and drivers come and go, but the one constant has been Christian.”
He added, “I think his out-and-out racing passion, the fact that he was a racer, he wanted to go to the highest level, and he recognized for whatever reason, whether it was a lack of opportunity or talent. He then focused on running his own team, which already identified him as a racing entrepreneur, and Red Bull knew him and backed him. I think the lion’s share of the credit should absolutely go to Christian [for Red Bull’s success].”

Christian Horner and Max Verstappen are on the verge of lifting another F1 trophy
While Christian Horner and Co. lifted the 2023 Formula 1 Constructors World Championship during the recently concluded Japanese Grand Prix, they have another opportunity to do the same during this week’s Qatar Grand Prix weekend. The driver’s title is up for grabs during the event at the free-flowing Lusail International Circuit.

Max Verstappen has run circles around the whole F1 grid this year, and it is because of his consistent performances that he has a chance of wrapping up the 2023 title with six races remaining on the calendar. The 25-year-old has so far managed a brilliant 400 points, whereas his nearest rival, Sergio Perez, is way behind with only 223 to his name.
The Lusail International Circuit supports super-fast racing and offers several overtaking opportunities. The race takes place for a total of 57 laps under the night sky, and considering how mighty the RB19 has proved at almost every track this year, Red Bull has a golden chance of lifting back-to-back trophies during the ongoing campaign.
