Lewis Hamilton has received support from the Formula One community ever since Nelson Piquet’s reckless comment and now the Brit’s brother, Nicolas Hamilton has also come forward and shared his views on the whole incident.
Today the news headlines all over the world were dominated by Lewis Hamilton and it was because Piquet racially abused the 37-year-old by calling him a black guy.
The whole world has come forward in support of Lewis Hamilton and his brother Nicolas is another one who has taken to social media to show his displeasure against the idiotic comment of Nelson Piquet.
Nicolas via his Twitter has written, “Don’t worry about what they say, my bro. Those that ‘know’ what you have done & continue to do, stand by you!“
“But no one stands by you more than me.”
Nicolas Hamilton has asked his brother to say strong and has tried to remind him that he has got the support of the whole sporting fraternity behind him.
Nelson Piquet has come under huge criticism for his comment and now after seeing the anger that has been coming his way from across the world, he must be regretting what he has done. Moreover, Piquet is 69 years old, and for him to come out and say that Lewis Hamilton is a “black guy” utterly is disappointing.
Piquet today has lost the respect of motorsports fans all across the world and there is talk that as a repercussion of his actions he could get a lifetime ban from attending any future races in Formula One.
Nelson Piquet owes Lewis Hamilton a public apology
The actions of Piquet have been condemned by Formula One in an official statement as they have indicated that they have a zero-tolerance against racism as is evident from their slogan. #WeRaceAsOne.
Lewis Hamilton is a legend in Formula One and Piquet should have at least been more considerate before saying what he said. As things stand Piquet has got only one option and that is to come out and give Lewis Hamilton a public apology if he wants to dodge any more criticism that might come his way.
There is a saying that goes “the older you are the wiser you get” but after hearing piquet, it seems it is not the same for everyone. Is Nelson Piquet going to apologize to Lewis Hamilton?
