Formula 1 is no longer the elitists sport that was once thought to be exclusive to the aristocratic Europeans only. Now, the king class of motorsports has reached out to the common people at every corner of the world, and thus, it is enjoying massive popularity with millions of audience tuning in to watch the Grands Prix during every weekend. And F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has realised that the huge reach of this sport and the big platform that they have created, can be used for promoting some humanitarian causes.

Thus, in a step that is going to go down in Formula 1 history, Domenicali announced that F1 will be partnering with the world-famous child rights organization UNICEF. Their collaboration will hopefully promote equality in education, and they will help provide education to the children in the most vulnerable parts of the world. Literacy is the fuel that drive today’s society, and Formula 1 wants to prepare the young children to face this hard truth by providing them the basic education.

Formula 1 will also aid in several other operations that UNICEF is currently overseeing in the different countries, such as providing protection in emergency situations in Syria, and making sure that relief reaches the earthquake-ravaged regions of Syria and Turkey. This is a giant opportunity for F1 to give back to the society as the franchise is already priced at over a billion dollars in funds.
