Max Verstappen, the reigning F1 world champion, has been running circles around his rivals for the last few years. Verstappen has won three consecutive world championships since 2021 and considering his might, he was recently asked whether he views himself as the ultimate GOAT of the sport.

Max Verstappen has a well-known reputation for being blunt and sometimes quite cheeky with his F1 interviews. He has over the years given some infamous/firey interviews but with the pinnacle of motor racing at a standstill, he has given a rather baffling/comical interview regarding the F1 GOAT debate. The Dutchman recently gave an interview to a Dutch outlet which was translated by Motorsport. He added;

You have to simplify that to everyone going to the bathroom the same way, or going to the same bathroom, right? One is the best at football, another at racing and another at athletics, in the end, they are all good at their sports. However, we are all human, and I also enjoy going out to dinner with family and friends, or being silly, or on the beach.

Looking at the reaction of the 26-year-old, it is hard to assume what he meant when he stated the above-mentioned comments. However, one thing that is quite clear is that in his opinion, it is hard to have a GOAT debate across sports as everyone is good at their particular sport.

Max Verstappen is the hottest property in F1

While Max Verstappen has given a rather weird response to the GOAT debate, he is currently the hottest driver at the pinnacle of motor racing. Since 2022, none of his rivals have been able to match his might and this is one of the reasons why, Verstappen has dominated the sport in recent years.

Verstappen is contracted to Red Bull until the end of 2028 and this was a very smart move in part of the Milton-Keynes-based outfit. Christian Horner fully understands the value that he brings as a driver and thus, he did not want to give other teams a chance to swoop Verstappen under Red Bull’s nose.

Under the current set of regulations, Max Verstappen has proved too mighty, and considering this fact, there are very good chances that he would be able to rule over the pinnacle of motor racing for at least a couple more years. The next set of F1 regulations will kick in from 2026 onwards.
