People consider the dominating Max Verstappen‘s personality as a jolly one on and off the grid. There are many quips of Verstappen being humorous on the grid multiple times. Apart from winning races, the reigning world champion also wins people’s hearts with his heartwarming childhood stories.

In a recent episode of Beyond The Grid Podcast, Enrique Bernoldi, the Brazilian driver, recalled a funny anecdote from Verstappen’s childhood. He recalled how Verstappen got stuck in the toilet once as a four-year-old child. The 45-year-old Ex-F1 driver laughs at the funny incident.

He goes to the restroom, and he gets stuck in the toilet. He had a little plastic boot and it got stuck in the toilet.

Subsequently, Bernoldi added to the story and claimed that he could hear some weird noises coming from the toilet. Later, Verstappen was not coming out of the toilet. The former F1 driver recalls how he went inside the toilet, helped Max get out, and returned him to his mother, Sophie Verstappen.

This funny incident revealed the funny childhood of the current reigning world champion. Bernoldi was also a very close friend of Verstappen’s father, Jos Verstappen, as both of them raced for The Arrows racing team. Hence, because of this, Max visited the Arrows garage on multiple occasions.

Enrique Bernoldi applauds Max Verstappen’s dominating performance

Max Verstappen is now dominating the entire F1 grid at the age of 25, just 20 years later from this funny incident. Bernoldi praised the three-time champion for breaking multiple big records, namely, overtaking Ayrton Senna in race wins at such a young age. Subsequently, He called Verstappen as one of the greats.

The Italian also compared Verstappen with the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Ayrton Senna. Bernoldi reckoned that the Dutchman was on the level of these elite drivers. Bernoldi also applauded Verstappen’s dominating mindset when racing on the track and called it ‘impressive’.

The three-time world champion has left no stone unturned in proving his amazing skillset. Verstappen continues to dominate the F1 grid and break records from the once-legendary drivers. The Dutchman must keep his head in the game and score impressive results.
