Scuderia Ferrari has been facing a very difficult season this time around. The team has amassed only a single win out of the 20 total races. Charles Leclerc‘s team always seems to have some issues internally, such as mechanical problems, pitstop errors, or some other in-race incidents. Due to this, Ferrari has been at the third spot in the championship standings and miles behind Constructors’ Champions Red Bull.

Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt has commented on the recent issues that Ferrari is facing currently. Todt claimed that for the Scuderia to return to their winning ways, they needed to gather all the elements. Additionally, he added that the elements were missing by a bit, but not by a large margin.

To win, you have to gather all the elements, and today is a bit missing. Not much, but a little

Todt told canalplus.com (H&T: soymotor.com).

The ex-boss reflected on his days with the team and exclaimed that the team creates a passion and emotion for racing like no other team does in the sport. Subsequently, Jean Todt talked about how there needs to be big changes in the team if the tifosis and the media aren’t satisfied with the performance of Scuderia Ferrari.

Ferrari is a slightly different team because it creates emotion and passion like no other, if it doesn't work, the tendency is that with the pressure of the media and the tifosi we have to change boss and that's not necessarily good

The ex-Ferrari boss had some sweet memories with the Scuderia from his time at Maranello. Michael Schumacher garnered five world championships, and the team also scored an astonishing eight constructors championship victory under Todt’s leadership.

The Frenchman mentioned how the team had stability under his regime. That was the primary factor in helping the team score such amazing results and amassing such impressive feats with the drivers. Finally, Todt acknowledged how the last thousandths in a race are difficult to achieve.

Ferrari definitely has the resources and the manpower required to challenge Red Bull for the top spot. Both the drivers in the team are performing at their maximum capacity to maximize the results. All the team needs now is a better selection of strategies followed by better communication and planning to finally achieve the goal of returning to their winning ways.
