The 2024 Formula 1 has officially begun with the Bahrain GP underway. Pole-sitter Max Verstappen has been leading the race ever since the start. The Dutchman’s RB20 has been providing the driver with enough pace to drive untouched throughout the laps. Hence, the majority of the fans are fed up with the driver’s dominating performance and fear a repeat of the 2023 season.
Max Verstappen had previously talked highly about the ‘non-conservative’ RB20 which produced great pace. Hence, it is no surprise to see the reigning world champion lead the race from the pole position at Bahrain GP. Additionally, the 26-year-old had a better start from the get-go as compared to Charles Leclerc who failed to overtake the driver into Turn 1. As a result, the lead for Verstappen continued throughout the race.
The RB20 seems to be producing great pace for both the drivers Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The Mexican is currently P2 behind Verstappen’s massive lead. The Dutchman was ahead of the runner-up drivers by an astounding five seconds by Lap 7. Additionally, Leclerc’s DRS by Lap 3 was unable to catch up to the dominating driver at first. As a result, fans fear seeing the entire season be led by the same driver untouched throughout.

Fans accepted Max Verstappen’s potential dominant win for 2024
In a recent tweet on X, multiple fans shared their opinions over race leader Verstappen’s dominant race lead. One fan predicted that the Dutchman would ‘win all the races this year’ and score a perfect season. Another fan called out Formula 1 and asked them to present the reigning world champion with the trophy already as he would likely dominate the entire season.

One fan added that the sport was ruined due to Verstappen’s dominant performance over the past two seasons. Although rival teams were catching up to Milton Keynes, it was nowhere near to replicate their performance down the season. Another fan added that the FIA was to blame for ruining the sport and the Dutchman’s dominant performance.

Another exciting season of Red Bull dominance.

In 2021 F1 slowed Mercedes down to make things more competitive.
It's so wonderful that they sit on their hands as we watch what feels like another painfully uncompetitive, extremely boring season.
Great job @F1 pic.twitter.com/VMBxJ2OHIn

Fans are afraid of a 2023 repeat where the entire season was seemingly boring due to the driver’s performance. However, the fans cannot disagree with the fact that they are witnessing history being created. No other drivers in the past have had such a dominant performance throughout the season. Hence, Verstappen will probably win the season opener in Bahrain solely due to his dominant drive off the RB20.
