Formula 1 heads to Japan this weekend for the iconic Japanese Grand Prix. The race is held at the historic Suzuka Circuit which has given the sport some memorable races throughout its time on the F1 calendar. As the F1 paddock landed in Japan, drivers began taking a taste of the local culture of the Asian nation. Lewis Hamilton decided to take a trip down to a Nintendo store.
The seven-time world champion was spotted at the Universal Studios in Osaka before the Japanese GP weekend gets underway. Hamilton visited an official store to perhaps get his hands on some merchandise of the gaming giant. It seems that the Mercedes driver is a huge fan of the Japanese company and as such, was wearing a Toad Mario hat.
The Mercedes driver seemed to be lost in his own world of nostalgia as he looked through the store shelves. Certainly, the Toad Mario hat made an all-time F1 great look similar to any other Nintendo fan in the store. However, Lewis Hamilton would not be paying attention to anything other than the merch he was looking to purchase in Osaka.

Certainly, Lewis Hamilton seems to have enjoyed his time at Universal Studios Japan. Although, the seven-time champion would soon shift his complete focus onto the Japanese GP. Mercedes had an encouraging pace at the previous round in Singapore. As such, Hamilton and the Silver Arrows would be looking to carry this momentum this weekend.
