The Monegasque racer Charles Leclerc has been facing a grueling late season. Despite starting on the pole at the US GP, he lost positions due to a poor strategy and finished P6. Meanwhile, his teammate Carlos Sainz has been performing quite well this season. Sainz won the Singapore GP and even finished ahead of Leclerc in multiple races. Ahead of the Mexican GP, the Monegasque attempted to eat a spicy pepper belonging to the local cuisine.
In an interview ahead of the Mexican GP, The 26-year-old racer was quizzed about his likings about the race weekend. Initially, the Monegasque said that he liked the passion and intensity of the fans. The Ferrari driver called this his ‘number 1’ liking surrounding the Mexican GP. Secondly, Leclerc said he liked Mexican food and claimed he liked tacos, meat, and anything spicy. But in hindsight, after seeing the post, it seems that he couldn’t handle the spice after all.
Leclerc shared a picture of him on X eating a Mexican Pepper. He captioned the picture as ‘Holà Mexico, te amo, but this was too spicy for me’ along with his pictures eating the Pepper. The pepper seemed to be too hot to handle for Lord Perceval as he instantly regretted his decision and started drinking water and making funny faces in an attempt to tolerate the spice.

Fans reacted in a hilarious way to Charles Leclerc’s inability to tolerate the pepper
The fans were quick to react to the pictures posted by Leclerc. One fan commented on how Leclerc looked like he might just throw up after eating the spicy pepper. They said, “You look like you’re gonna throw it out.” While another fan sided with Leclerc and said that if he did not tear up through his eyes and nose, he ultimately could handle the spice. Thus providing a funny insight into the tolerance levels of Leclerc.
Another fan jokingly posted, “Poor you, try habanero jkjk,” as habanero is considered to be one of the spiciest peppers in the world. Commenting on Perceval’s face, one fan said he does not look happy after eating the pepper. Some fans also started creating memes and WhatsApp stickers out of Leclerc’s reaction to the Pepper.

Some fans noted how Leclerc looked so good while eating such spicy food, and multiple fans called the 26-year-old hot. Despite the shenanigans outside the track, the team expects Leclerc to score better results at the Mexican GP following a blunder with tyre-strategy at the US GP.
Leclerc has shown amazing pace this season despite losing positions to silly mistakes during the race. The fans are with Leclerc in the battle and would hope for the Monegasque to get decent results in the upcoming rounds.
