“Everytime he opens his mouth, he’s saying something absolutely stupid” – Fans rage at Stefano Domenicali after he suggests F1 does not need new teams
Formula One boss Stefano Domenicali
The current CEO of Formula 1, Stefano Domenicali attracted hatred and rage from the fans when he went on record to say that F1 does not need new teams, despite the lack of seats for able drivers looking to move into the world of F1 and showcase their skills to the world.
He has had a spectacular career in the world of F1 and was the team principal of the Scuderia Ferrari and helped them win a world championship, this was also the last time Ferrari won a championship in the sport and has been on a dry streak for quite a while. He also served as the CEO of Lamborghini for four years from 2016-2020.
Despite being very successful in his career, he is not preferred among the fans due to many questionable decisions taken by Michael Masi last year which led to Max Verstappen’s earning his first world title in Formula 1. There was frenzy among the fans after this season and many called into question Domenicali’s ability as the CEO of F1.

F1 Reddit rages at Stefano Domenicali after he says that F1 does not need more teams
F1 fans took to Reddit to show their anger towards CEO Domenicali after he went on air and said that F1 did not need new teams. There has been great speculation among the fans as to whether the management should make way to introduce more F1 teams as many capable drivers are unable to secure a seat due to the limited number of teams on the grid.
Fans mean comments stating, “I used to like Domenicali, but I swear now, everytime he opens his mouth, he’s saying something absolutely stupid,” another fan commented saying, “Perfectly in touch with money.”
The comments don’t stop there and the hate continues, “I don’t get it. They had an American businessman as CEO and they made a ton of fantastic changes. Now they have a European with actual F1 experience, and everything stalls. You’d expect the opposite,” another fan commented, “We also don’t need more races or Sprint races, but that doesn’t matter to you Stephano does it?”
Unless Stefano is unable to bring in considerable and impactful changes to motorsport, the hate from the fans will continue and it won’t be long before they ask for a change in management.
