“Could probably dunk Yuki” – Fans react as 7ft tall Basketball star Mamadou N’Diaye meets F1’s Yuki Tsunoda

Yuki Tsunoda and Mamadou N'Diaye

Yuki Tsunoda is an exciting F1 driver. He made his F1 debut in 2021 and instantly gained attention. Although Tsunoda has failed to deliver on the promise from his first Grand Prix, the Japanese driver has still provided some decent results. But, there is a specific thing about Yuki which is loved by the fans apart from his driving, his height. Tsunoda is presently the shortest driver on the grid, though fans adore this aspect.

Hence, when Yuki Tsunoda got the chance to meet the Basketball star Mamadou N’Diaye, fans were in for a treat. N’Diaye is 2.29m tall, a far cry from Yuki Tsunoda’s height of just 1.59m. Mamadou was also the tallest player at the NCAA Division I level. Unsurprisingly, this meet-up appeared interesting, to say the least. Tsunoda stood alongside N’Diaye, while the Basketball player seemed to tower over the F1 driver.

It seemed that Yuki Tsunoda had met a giant. As the faces of the pair could be barely captured in one frame. Although, this height difference did not bother the duo. An image of Tsunoda and N’Diaye depicts a huge smile on the F1 driver’s face while Mamadou himself looks to be appreciative. Additionally, F1 looks to have generated a great interest in Basketball, as Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc visited the NBA in Paris recently along with Esteban Ocon.

Fans appreciate Yuki Tsunoda’s joyful attitude at any major event

Yuki will have pressure on his shoulders in the on-coming F1 season

This picture was posted on Reddit and fans were quick to express their views. Users were quick to mention how large Mamadou N’Diaye looked compared to Yuki Tsunoda. One fan replied, “Could probably dunk Yuki.” While another user was quick to mention the difference in the head sizes of this pair. The fan commented, “His head is twice the size of Yuki’s lol.” Certainly, a great indication is the variations in human beings. Although, this was even true for Charles Leclerc just a couple of days ago.

On the other hand, one fan mentioned how Yuki Tsunoda is a delight at any major celebrity event. Perhaps due to his joyful behavior and friendly attitude or simply because of his height. The fan said, “Yuki is easily the coolest person in any celebrity environment. I might be biased.” Another user indicated that Tsunoda looked immensely out of place in the image as if the Japanese driver had edited the picture. The user replied, “Yuki looks like he photoshopped himself into a random photo.”

All in all, Yuki Tsunoda’s conversation with Mamadou N’Diaye must have been delightful. Two sportspersons from different sports may have got time to shed light on their experiences. Possibly even learn from each other. Of course, the two must have had some differences in their careers due to the enormous height difference. However, fans always love to see such ‘crossovers’ between two different sports and would be hoping to witness many more of these in the future.
