Alfa Romeo F1 team Stake had their car reveal today wherein a talk show esq event was held to remove the covers of Sauber’s newest challenger for the 2023 F1 season. Sponsors and fans altogether were invited to be a part of this epic event. One of the key takes from the reveal was that the car that we would get to see today would be their actual car for the upcoming season.
Many teams have just revealed their liveries that have been stuck onto the 2022 F1 spec show cars. However, Alfa Romeo had other plans. Newly appointed CEO, Andreas Seidl was present at the event along with drivers Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou. In a hilarious turn of events, the car’s livery was actually displayed on the screen way before the actual reveal when the car was being discussed about.
This gave fans a good laugh over the team’s mistake. However, they were equally stunned when Bottas and Zhou took the covers off the actual car. It was evident that the team had replaced all the white in the car with black. This gave it a very mean look which posed a few similarities to Ferrari. Alfa has a rich history of producing one of the most beautiful car liveries on the F1 grid each and every single year.

The car’s livery had received immense praise from the fans and the critics. One interesting thing that has been observed in every launch is that the teams are favouring the colour black for the 2023 season. Some say that it might be an effective measure to reduce the weight on the car. With F1 being the pinnacle of Motorsports, teams have made it evident that each and every millisecond counts on the race to the top of the standings.
