Lewis Hamilton and his erstwhile comrade, Valtteri Bottas, have been bosom buddies for a considerable time, sharing heartwarming moments of their ‘bromance’ in and around the paddock. And now, they have elevated their camaraderie to social media, where Lewis responded to Bottas’ tweet from two months past, showcasing their bonding.

Two months back, Valtteri posted a pic of him and Lewis Hamilton with the caption, “Find someone who looks at you the way Lewis looks at me,” to which the seven-time champ replied recently with another photo of the duo, looking at each other and with a caption that read the word “same.”

As a team, Hamilton and Bottas were highly successful, contributing to five consecutive constructors’ titles and four drivers’ championships for Mercedes. Their friendship was often visible on the paddock, with both drivers referring to each other as ‘their best teammate.’ Fans expressed their nostalgia for their pairing, calling it ‘the best duo ever.’ The heartwarming response from Hamilton melted their hearts, with many Twitter users sharing their wholesome messages.

Bottas was brought in to replace Nico Rosberg, who announced his retirement in 2016. Lewis and Nico were boyhood buddies who became bitter rivals, sparking the infamous silver war.’ Their pairing rapidly became toxic, and Bottas’ entry restored normalcy to the team. For what collaboration they have shown, fans have often dubbed their couple a love tale. 

Fans plainly expressed their despair and missed the two as teammates. While some outrightly called the pairing ‘the best duo ever,’ a few others were gushing about the best friends being still close and replied with many wholesome tweets. Amidst the heart-warming replies, a few sly jabs were thrown at Hamilton’s way for replying to Bottas’ after over two months. And there was one particular user who seemed to have noticed George Russell, the driver who replaced Bottas at Mercedes in the background of the picture, and tweeted a witty reply.
