“Admin what is this?” – Fans react as Mercedes F1 joins in on the winter break sadness

The Formula 1 winter break lasts for a good couple of months. As such fans truly hate being away from their favorite sport and its drivers. Be it Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton or Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Although, this period is certainly necessary for F1. Since teams put everything into the car’s development during the winter. However, it turns out that fans are not the only ones who are desperate to have F1 back in full swing.
Recently, the official Mercedes Twitter account uploaded an edit of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. The clip uses the now-trendy meme template of a character traveling in the boat to the other side. Thus, the admin has added the faces of Russell and Hamilton to this template, along with some truly melancholic music. The team has also added text to the video, which says, “Waiting for F1 to be back.”
Certainly, this tweet was felt by the entire F1 fandom. To top it all off, the caption said, “We just want it back.” Mercedes definitely expressed what was in the minds of millions of fans. Although, things will change soon as the Pre-season kicks in from the first week of February. Red Bull racing will be the first team to launch its 2023 car on February 3, whereas the Silver Arrows will present the W14 days later on the 15th.

Fans demand Mercedes for a return to the all-black livery in 2023
Fans on Twitter greatly appreciated this video. Although, some were surprised to see such a clip coming from the official Mercedes account. One fan questioned the person handling the account and asked, “Admin what is this?” While another user mentioned how eagerly they have been waiting for F1 to begin. The user replied, “Admin I am insane I can’t wait for the season to begin.” A statement that would be agreed upon by both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
On the other hand, many users urged Mercedes to bring back its all-black livery. The Silver Arrows ran in black colors during the 2020 and 2021 seasons in a bid to voice its support against racism. One fan commented, “We just want the black car to come back.” Correspondingly, one user said, “We just want it ‘BLACK’.” Yet, there were even more fans asking for that stunning livery to return. As another fan said, “Let it be the new black beauty on the grid.”
Thus, it seems that Mercedes is as eager to return on track as its fans. Although, there might be some shaking their heads at Brackley as the fans keep demanding a revert to its old livery. However, the Silver Arrows have always provided a decent livery in recent years as the team evolves its designs. As such, the fans would not be complaining when the W14 hits the track after months of waiting in the cold winter break.
