The 2022 Japanese Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen taking not only the race win but the championship win as well making it his second consecutive world championship currently. However, there have been recent rumours surfacing that accuse the Red Bull team of spending more than the budget cap in the 2021 championship.

An FIA investigation revealed that Red Bull did indeed exceed the budget in a minor capacity of 1-2 million USD on catering. Fans have reacted hilariously to this news, mocking the FIA for fining a racing team based on the amount of money they have spent on food and drinks. Ross Brawn, the F1 director had stated that breaching the rules would end up in the respective team losing their championship.
