Felipe Massa and his band of lawyers are in hot pursuit of the 2008 F1 World Championship and are trying everything possible to win their case in court. While the Brazilian firmly believes the title is his, the former CEO of the F1 group, Bernie Ecclestone, took a dig at Massa and said, “The Massa clan is only concerned with money.“
This has not all sat well in the conscience of Felipe Massa, and he has hit back at Bernie Ecclestone by sharing his thoughts. Massa and Co. have been trying to change the verdict of the 2008 Championship tussle for quite some time, and they believe that Ecclestone is afraid of things that might come up in the court proceedings.
While shedding light on the same in detail, the 42-year-old told Motorsport, “Ecclestone only decided to say something after he saw the seriousness of our case and that we will not accept this stain on the sport. He is probably afraid of everything that will come to light with the lawsuits.”
“It doesn’t matter. As we have said several times, our objective is the trophy. We continue our battle for justice in sport.” Massa has made it known that while people have been trying to throw dirt on him from all angles for what he’s doing, he is only focused on getting a verdict in his favor in the court of law.

Felipe Massa lawyers are prepping up to get Lewis Hamilton’s support in the 2008 title tussle
While Felipe Massa has bashed Bernie Ecclestone for his recent comment, it has also recently come to light that his lawyers are preparing to get Lewis Hamilton’s support in their tussle against the 2008 F1 World Championship. They genuinely believe that Hamilton would support them in their fight.
During the 2008 F1 season, Massa and Hamilton were pretty much neck and neck for most of the campaign; moreover, at the end of the season, the former lost out on the title only by a minuscule margin of 1 point. The Brazilian has several times made it known that in his tussle against the 2008 title outcome, he has got nothing against Hamilton.
The ongoing Felipe Massa title saga will continue for quite some time, with several things coming up in the overall case. Ferrari has yet to give their support to Massa, and considering this, it would be fascinating to see how Lewis Hamilton would react when Massa’s lawyers ultimately approach him.
