Fernando Alonso creates a New Record for the most laps raced in Formula 1

Fernando Alonso, the 40-year-old ‘rookie’, has created a new record in Formula 1 for the most laps ever raced. Alonso circumferenced a huge career starting in 2001. He has raced for a number of teams including McLaren and Ferrari. He came close to winning multiple championships but only managed two of them. But the two titles he won have a special place in the history of the sport. Fernando Alonso is mainly known for ending the Michael Schumacher era after winning the 2005 Championship defeating the 7-time world champion. Alonso has a keen sense and is clever with the rules and regulations of the sport, creating some very intelligent moves only by knowledge of the track and cars. The 40-year-old is considered as a legend of the sport because of his ability to maximise the car’s potential to finish races much higher than people would hope to.
Fernando has now raced 18,672 laps leading the packs that include all the legends. Second is the former leader Kimi Raikkonen who retired at the end of the 2021 season, he raced 18,621 laps in Formula 1. Next is Lewis Hamilton, ex-teammate of Alonso at Mclaren, with 17146 laps. Further is Michael Schumacher with 16825 laps raced.
Fernando Alonso hopes to continue in 2023 as well
Fernando Alonso currently is racing for Alpine, earlier called Renault. He won two World Championships in the same team in 2005-2006. He will create another record for the most race starts after finishing the Singapore Grand Prix in 2022. The 40-year-old has got the essence of the sport and hopes to continue his drive in 2023 as well.
