Fernando Alonso has had a chaotic career in his time in the sport spanning over two decades. The Asturian driver has driven for numerous teams in his days, one of the most prolific being Renault. Alonso won both of his World Championships with the team, skillfully beating Michael Schumacher to the title both times.

Alonso made a return to the team to return from a hiatus from Formula One that he took after a disastrous second stint with McLaren, where the Honda engines failed to achieve any decent results. The Spaniard left the team in 2022 after tensions rose between Alonso, the team, and his teammate Esteban Ocon, especially when the team offered him a contract lasting just one year.

Many speculated that the split between the 2x World Champion and the Alpine team was not on the best possible terms, but Alonso put an end to that. Fernando Alonso said that he looked back upon his former team with respect, adding that the championships he won with them would remain special to him.

I have a lot of respect for Alpine. It's the team that when it was called Renault it gave me my two titles, so it will always be in my heart, I will never wish anything bad on it.

Alonso had left the French team to join Aston Martin, a move criticized widely by the media, as Aston had suffered terribly in the Constructors’ standings the past two years. However, as Alonso revealed, Lawrence Stroll had laid out bright plans for the team in the future, demonstrated by the run of podiums Alonso managed in the first half of the season.

The paparazzo followed Alonso’s vehicle on his bike, illegally driving over the pavement to tail the Spanish superstar. Alonso posted an image of his pursuer, along with distasteful remarks. Alonso said this is unfortunately a common phenomenon in Spain. The Spaniard also said he felt discouraged from revisiting his home country due to the rude welcome.

Classic welcome to Spain. The little I come and the less I will come. Although this time they sent the least smart photographer.
