Fernando Alonso hints that he wants to get his 33rd win before retiring from F1
The 42-year-old Fernando Alonso still isn't done with Formula 1 and needs his final 33rd victory.

42-year-old veteran Fernando Alonso has been in the sport for a very long time now. Alonso has been in Formula 1 for almost 22 years now and has even won two consecutive world championships.
The Asturian has an impressive 32 wins and 22 pole positions in Formula 1. Additionally, Alonso is the only Spanish driver to ever win a World Championship title. But it has been over ten years since the once-dominating Spaniard has scored a victory in the sport.
The 32-times race winner has now opened up and talked about his potential 33rd victory in the sport. Alonso claimed that felt motivated to continue in the sport for the 33rd victory as he had seen the number many times now. Moreover, Alonso suggested that he would not want to retire from the sport before his long-awaited win.
I would love for 33 to come true. There has been a lot of talk about it on social media, 33 is a number that I see everywhere and would love to have it. I feel fresh, I feel fast and I am enjoying the trip with Aston Martin. I feel motivated … it’s not time to retire yet

The Spaniard has been racing for the Aston Martin team this year, and he had an amazing start to the season. Despite a few inconveniences along the way where the team failed to score results, Alonso scored an impressive podium in the recent Brazilian GP. The two-time world champion has also claimed that he felt better at Aston Martin than at his ex-team Alpine.

The two-time world champion achieved the most success with Renault [currently Alpine] in F1. The ex-champion was not hesitant in respecting and applauding his ex-team which helped him along his way to score some amazing feats. Alonso also added that he still shared a deep sense of respect for the Alpine racing team.
Regardless, The Asturian felt that the shift from Alpine to Aston Martin worked out in his favor. The driver won eight podiums under Aston Martin as compared to the singular podium from when he raced for Alpine. Additionally, Alonso claimed that he made the right decision to come back to the sport and change teams for better results.
Fernando Alonso has evidently been in the sport for a very long time. The Spaniard hopes to play the Spanish National Anthem once again and emerge victorious in one final race before his departure from the sport. He has also been showing great improvements and results lately and hence the next season will definitely be better for the Asturian.
