Alpine Formula One driver Fernando Alonso has just gotten a chance to rest from the relentless 2022 season. After returning to the sport in 2021, the Spaniard has been on a charge like never before. Fernando Managed to score a podium in 2021 at the Qatar Grand Prix. The driver also managed to qualify p2 in the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix by putting in one of the best laps of his career.
With the Formula One summer break going on, the drivers get the chance to rest and relax before the racing action starts again. Daniel Ricciardo is spending his time with his friends in Los Angeles. Meanwhile Lewis Hamilton has spent some quality time in Africa as he tried to explore his roots and learn more about his ancestors.
Meanwhile Fernando Alonso’s trip to Greece ended on Sunday. His holiday further came to an end as the driver was seen in the MotoGP paddock in Austria for the MotoGP race. The two time world champion paid a visit to the Aprilia Garage where he met Maverick Vinales and most of the Aprilia Crew. He was at the race with his girlfriend Andrea Schlager.
Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola and Fernando Alonso have been friends for years
Having previously worked together at Ferrari, Fernando Alonso and Aprilia CEO Massi o Rivola have known each other for quite some time. They are good friends and visit each other from time to time. Fernando was also spotted sporting an Aprilia during his visit to the garage. The shirt had Alonso’s number (14) on the sides and his sign behind.
This is just proof that no matter what happens, Fernando Alonso just cannot get enough of the racing action. After trying out almost all the tough sports in the motorsport category, the Spaniard has never competitively raced motorbikes. Do you ever think Fernando would race on two wheels in the future?
