Aston Martin’s early-season momentum started to varnish with rivals closing the gap, halting the streak of six podium finishes in the first seven races. However, Aston Martin secured a podium at the Dutch Grand Prix, with Alonso taking second place.

This marked the first time Aston Martin collected a podium since the Canadian GP in June, where Alonso finished second. In light of Aston Martin’s mid-season performance dip, Fernando Alonso suggested that the team’s pursuit of constant car setup changes contributed to their summer slump.

Changing few things on the setup, and you’re just improving one axle, making worse the other axle, so you’re dealing with a fine line that you’re never happy with,” said Fernando Alonso, as reported by racingnews365.com

Alonso acknowledged various opinions and thoughts regarding the team’s challenges during that period, but there was no definitive explanation.
